Henna is the common name for a plant (Lawsonia Inermis) used in Mehndi Henna application. Henna has been used for 1000’s of years in many countries. Now it is wildly popular in the US.

 Of Course… Even if you have the darkest of skin tones, henna will show up a dark black color. Henna on dark skill will sometimes show up darker than a real tattoo. I love the color henna leaves on darker skin tones.

          Not at All, there are no needles involved. Henna dyes the outer layers of the skin. The Henna dye is painted on. The Henna will slowly disappear. Henna should never hurt it is an all natural product.

 Henna is very safe, sometimes it can cause very slight skin irritations if you are adding spices and scents to henna. ***Warning*** stay away from Black henna it can cause serious skin problems. There is a chemical in black henna called PPD that is very dangerous and banded in many countries. Henna Art & Design only uses natural Henna product free of any outside chemicals. Children under the age of 6 years old should not have henna applied.
